In October, 2004, Southport Bank acquired a closed bank branch location in the heart of Racine at 5220 Washington Avenue.

After a short period of renovation, the new Southport Bank branch office officially opened for business on February 21, 2005. An official Ribbon cutting ceremony was held on February 22, 2005.
The full service branch houses ten employees, include two commercial lenders, a mortgage lender, and retail personnel. The branch also offers an ATM, safe deposit branches, and, of course, cookies and coffee.
On March 23, 2005 Karl Ostby, President and CEO of Southport Bank was presented a Gold Key Award from the Racine Area Manufacturers and Commerce welcoming Southport Bank to Racine.
